5x detailed research into teaser trailers

X-men First Class

The sound of this teaser is tense as it reconstructs what people have heard before in the previous games into what they expect from this type of film. It is building up for the main battle and then the music calms down and it is more about what the sound is in the actual battle. It creates an atmosphere that the viewer is included in the battle as they can hear everything that is happening in that specific scene.

The mise-en-scene of this trailer is that it starts off looking in quite a historic scenario and you can tell this by some of the clothes that they wear and also some of the way that they speak as it is not what you stereotypically expect to hear in this modern world.

The lighting is bright for the first character and this can show how he is going to be more of teh hero rather than the vuillain and the other person has a darker colour around them which can show that they are going to be the villain. It also shows the memories which were worse in a darker shade and it shows the hero again in teh brighter sections of the teaser where they are doing good deeds. It shows the some scenarios where there is a large group of people in a dark light which can show how they are in danger.

There are lots of fade cuts which have been edited in to sequence together what happened to the two main characters ebfore they becamse enemies. It then picks up the pace and becomes quicker as it continues so that it can sequence all of the action scenes together into one big section of clips. They also have flashbacks which can show what has happened before and this is in a different colour correction as it looks like it has happened a long time ago
The camera angles show lots of facial expressions when the characters are using their abilities and they also use long shots to show the charcters and their surroundings. This gives the audience a chance to see what is around them, but also still seeing what they are feeling while this is happening to them.

The camera moves along to the peoples abilities as it likes to follow what is happening in the scene and the camera follows the actors through their journey. This is to show their perspective and what they have to face in this film.

The first introduction of characters is of the two main characters in the two x-men films as they were before they became who they are in the most present films. They are shown as being smart people who seem to live in an expensive house and I think that this gives people an idea of what their background was like.
